The other thing that’s been missing from some of the trailers is the character/art director who has the reputation of the most important and beloved artist in the game. This guy has been a part of the game’s game canon for some time now because he was one of the original cast members. With that in mind, I want to make this a personal look at the characters with whom I’ve been interacting.

This is why so many game designers have a hard time when they design a game that they are in it for the art, and not the gameplay. Artists like to create visual art that has mood or moods, which is a very vague state of being. But it doesn’t mean that what they create isn’t also true.
Artists have the liberty to create art that has moods because they are free to do so. But the freedom to create art that has moods is only for those who understand what it is that they are making. If you are a designer, you are not allowed to create art that has a mood that is a state of being.
In the past, I’ve talked about “visual art” as being about the art that is created with a specific tool, like a computer or a paintbrush. But there is a deeper level of art that takes place when art is made for a specific purpose. Art can be made with a computer, but it doesn’t have to be a computer. It can be a paintbrush, or a pencil.
For example, you can create art with a pencil using the pencil’s bristles and a pen, or you can create art with a computer where you program a program that can do the same thing, but it uses a paintbrush. These two methods are called “aesthetic” and “creative” art, respectively. Aesthetic art is about the art that is created with a tool that you have, not with a specific tool.
